Meaning: Sakuras (桜 / 櫻) are the ornamental cherry trees of Japan. The flowering of the sakura has been used for centuries as a metaphor to underline the ephemeral nature of beauty and life ("mono no aware" concept, which can be translated as "sensitivity for the ephemeral").
